What types of projects do you typically take on?

I usually focus on projects that combine graphic design, photography, and brand building. These are the areas where I thrive creatively and bring the most value to my clients.

Do you work with clients outside Toronto?

Yes. Most of my work travels well, branding and design happen remotely without losing quality. Photography needs me on location, and for the right project, I travel.

Do you take on small projects or collaborations?

Sometimes. If the idea is interesting or the person is serious about quality, the size of the project matters less than what it could become. Some of the best work starts as a small collaboration. If you have one in mind, reach out through the contact page.

How did you build House of Singh as a brand?

Slowly and on purpose. It started as a name for the work I was already doing and became a practice with its own standards. No shortcuts, no chasing trends, just consistent work refined over the years. The brand is simply the proof of that.

Do you work solo or with a team?

Depends on the type of project and its requirements. I contribute at an individual level, and I also run my design studio, House of Singh Studios, where a wider team comes together for larger work.

Maninder Singh is a creative director, photographer, and multidisciplinary designer working out of Toronto. His practice spans visual identity and photography, the kind of work that prioritizes depth over reach. He thinks in systems, designs with restraint, and photographs the things most people walk past. He grew up between cultures, languages, and cities, and that in between space is where most of his creative instincts come from. Design and photography evolved together for him, one feeding the other, each sharpening how he sees and what he chooses to make.

He has moved through different creative mediums over the years, each adding a layer to how he approaches the work today. More recently, film photography has become part of the practice, another way of slowing down and paying closer attention. Away from the screen, you will find him on a golf course, at a stable, or in the water, each teaching something that eventually shows up in the work. What drives him is not one thing, but the focus has always been the same: clarity over noise, craft over shortcuts, and showing up consistently even when nobody is watching.
